Windems Summer Social

August 15, 2021
The Windems got together at Searles School & Chapel for discussion, fun, and games. The group shared food and drinks, broke into teams for a Presidential crossword puzzle, and took home gifts. Books, mugs, playing cards, and Bernie stickers were part of the gift selection.

Candlelight Vigil - Standing Together

January 20, 2021
Picture
On inauguration day evening a candlelight vigil, “Standing Together,” was held on the Windham town common. We stood together for love of country, for the values that we hold most dear, and for our commitment to listen and work with each other for the common good. Hosted by the Windham Democratic Town Committee, all citizens of our community were welcome and the parking lot was filled with overflow parking at the church. The event featured a song sung by Grace & Kristi St. Laurent, a message from Pastor John Seiders of the Presbyterian Church and a call and response led by Ellen McCahon to indicate a renewed commitment to work together respectfully to solve common problems.

The vigil was held drive-in style and broadcast via FM transmitter due to COVID precautions. Participants tuned in from their cars. The vigil ended with a collection of the LED candles in each car in order to place them on the Common as a sign of the renewed commitment to Stand Together With and For Integrity into the future!

Many thanks to the volunteers who helped put the event together. The estimated participation was approximately 50 people including public and volunteers.

Gerrymandering in NH

The yellow district is NH Executive Council District 2, stretching from the seacoast to the western edge of the state and down to the Massachusetts border.
It is too late to establish an independent redistricting commission for this year, so this is a way to let our local delegation know we want a fair process and we are watching!
Thank you for voting to support this call for fair and transparent redistricting!
